Restoration Artists is a restoration company with a special expertise in invasive plant species. We provide a variety of services and management options for invasive plant species and noxious weeds.
Our expert management and consultation services can address major concerns related to invasive species locations or management controls. Major concerns are typically associated with controlling invasive species spread to prevent native species extirpation, habitat loss, soil degradation, erosion and damage to infrastructure.
We are fully licensed and insured for use of herbicide in Ontario, and our staff have over a decade of experience controlling invasive plants in southern Ontario. We specialize with the use of herbicides but we try to limit the use of herbicides when possible. We will work with each landowner to customize a management plan that is appropriate for each property and its conditions.
Generally, the process starts with a client contacting Restoration Artists with concerns over an aggressive plant and then we setup a site visit to identify and assess each clients property for management options.
OUR SERVICES​
Our team uses GPS enabled tablets to monitor sites and assess properties to invasive species presence. The information is analyzed and then sent to the client in a variety of available map formats.
After our team has cut and removed all stems of woody invasive's the stumps are treated to ensure the death of the roots, this prevents any possible regeneration.
Our team has a great deal of experience and expertise with large scale removal projects of woody invasive's such as European Buckthorn and invasive Honeysuckle's.
Our team has extensive knowledge about control techniques and can recommend management strategies to clients based on existing site conditions or based on generic control strategies for species.
The team at Restoration Artists has plenty of experience working in the forestry industry. This service involves shielding the immature trees and spraying the surrounding area which maximizes the seedlings absorption of water and sunlight.
